Dockside Water Polo 2026

5 aside Dockside water polo blends the fast-paced excitement of traditional water polo with the fun, casual energy of the harbour. Played in shallow harbour water with small teams and quick possessions, the game is all about speed, skill, and nonstop action. With fewer players, closer goals, and a dynamic open-water setting, this format makes every pass, shot, and sprint count. Perfect for casual competitions, or summer tournaments, five-aside water polo is accessible, energetic, and endlessly entertaining.

🏐 Event Format

  • This is a 5-a-side event.

  • Entry is open to all players.

  • Date: Sunday, 15th February 2026

  • Location: Naval Point, Lyttelton

📝 Entry Options

You can register in two ways:

  1. Team Entry – $103.03 (inc stripe fee) per team

    • Teams must have 6 players.

    • Only the person submitting the team will receive event updates and the draw. Please share the information with your team.

  2. Individual Entry – $25.99 (inc stripe fee)

    • Individuals will be allocated to a team.

    • You will receive an email with your team and the event draw.

  3. Registrations close on Sunday, 8th February 2026.

💳 Payment

  • Payment is required at the time of registration.

  • Stripe fees apply to all transactions.

  • All entries are non-refundable.

🗂️ Draw Information

  • The event draw will be released on Friday, 13th February.

  • It will be posted on social media and emailed to everyone who registered.

  • For team entries, only the person who submitted the team will receive the email — please ensure you pass the draw information on to your team members.
