Term 1 2023 Year 7 & 8 Competition Information 

MONDAY -  A , B & C Grade – QE2  7.15 – 9.30pm 

 13th,20th,27th Feb, 6th, 13th,20th,27th March (7 weeks)


FRIDAY – D & E  Grade – Jellie Park 6.45 - 9.30pm 

17tth Feb,3rd,10th,17th,24th March (5 weeks)


Entries

Entries Open: ­­­Tuesday 31st January and can be done so via Superforms from Sporty.co.nz.   

Entries Close: Thursday 9th February 

Draw available:  Sunday 12th February 


Cost

Monday = 7 weeks @ $700 per team 

Friday = 5 weeks @ $500 per team  



Team and Grade Conditions

  1.              Teams will consist up to a maximum 13 (A,B&C Grade) and 11 (D,E Grade) players per team.

       2.              Games will be played on the 25 minutes. 

       3.              Final grading will be at the discretion of CWP. Teams are asked to put a grade preference.

       4.              Competition formats will be decided once all entries are received.

       5.              First named team wears white caps unless unavailable.

       6.              Entering this competition is an acceptance that each team will abide by the CWP code of conduct.


         

Draw

All teams will be expected to play on their allocated night. If any of the above dates clash with a school event, a school representive must notify laura@canterburywaterpolo.org.nz prior to Tuesday 7th February. The draw will be available by Thursday 9th February and will be available on the Canterbury Water Polo website.


Results

       Results will be uploaded to the Canterbury Water Polo website each week.  It is the school’s responsibility to check that these are correct.  Results and Draws are posted on our website: www.canterburywaterpolo.org.nz


Equipment

Teams scheduled for the first game of the evening are asked to help with set up. Teams scheduled for the last game of the evening are kindly asked to help with pack down.  

Canterbury Water Polo will have Caps available for teams to use 


Defaults

Teams which default must notify Canterbury Water Polo 24 hours prior. Please note that a default is a loss and will not result in a reschedule of the game.

   Failure to notify CWP 24 hours prior will result in a $50.00 fine.  


Cancellation

In the event of a cancellation the manager will be contacted and the website will be updated accordingly.
